 A birthday party at Discovery Gateway is filled with hands-on fun. We have two great party packages.

The Bash: $175

  • Museum admission for 20 visitors (includes birthday child and parents)
  • 60 minute reservation in the Birthday Room
  • Trained and enthusiastic Discovery Gateway Party Host to make your party a success
The Bonanza: $225

  • Museum admission for 25 visitors (includes birthday child, and two parents,)
  • 90 minute reservation in the Birthday Room
  • Trained and enthusiastic Discovery Gateway Party Host to make your party a success
  • Discovery Gateway birthday t-shirt for the birthday child
  • Theater-style popcorn (ages 5 & up)

The Bonanza Party offers these fun themed activity options:

Discovery Jamboree — Little ones will love to dance, play, create, and embark on a magical musical parade.

Once Upon a Birthday — A fairytale favorite; dress-up as knights and princesses, adorn your crown, and conquer the witch's castle of obstacles.

Pirate’s Adventure — Pirate hats, eye patches, and buccaneer sashes prepare you for a treasure hunt throughout the museum exhibits.

Superhero Sensation — Create your own hero's mask and train on our superhero obstacle course to earn your hero's cape.

Wizard School — Learn magic words, customize your own magic wand, and see powerful potions react before your very eyes.

Party Extras

  • Discovery Gateway Party Favors: $3 each - Color-changing surprise cups filled with non-candy trinkets!
  • Extra Half-hour in the Birthday Room: $25 - Pending availability. Please ask at the time of reservation.
  • Personalized Birthday Cake and Party Food: Options available with special discouns from our local catering partners. Please ask at time of reservation.
  • Drinks of Your Choice - Ask for Pricing
  • Note: Guests are welcome to bring their own cake, food, drinks, etc.

Policies

  • Please schedule birthday parties at least 2 weeks in advance.
  • The Birthday Room can accommodate approximately 30 people. If you are expecting a larger group, please notify us at the time of reservation so we can make alternate arrangements.
  • An additional charge of $8.50 per person over the number of guests included in the party package will be added to the invoice.
  • We have found that our parties usually work best with 15 children or fewer.
  • Your reservation is guaranteed only with a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please call us at 801-456-5437 ext. 131.
  • A 50% deposit is due at the time of your reservation. The final payment will be processed the first business day after your party.
  • Cancellation Policy: If you cancel a birthday party at least two weeks in advance, Discovery Gateway will refund your deposit minus a $10 processing fee. You may re-schedule your party without a penalty.
